Plot Summary: Devised by Rider University students and faculty, THE FIRE is a world premiere production that investigates the theme of "perspective," while taking an in-depth look at the United States education system. Set in a fictional small town, the story follows a cast of characters as they navigate 2004's fractured America. Combining text from real-life interviews, improvisation, and movement, this collaborative piece explores the nature of an organizational system, examines how it affects different members of a community, and considers what happens when one person tries to create change.
